But I do get sunburnt a lot so I can offer you some advise. There are special gels that will ease the pain. They feel really cool when you apply them. Important to buy a gel as the lotions don't feel that cool when you apply them. I live in Australia but if you have "Priceline" there you can buy it there otherwise you could go to any store that sells lotions and creams. Unfortunately you are burnt everywhere which means you have no body part that you can sleep on but it helps if you sleep just in underwear on cool sheets like silk or satin and keep a cool fan on you. It is hard to say how long you will be in pain for as the pain eases slowly over time but the worst of it should be gone in about 2-3 days. Then it will get itchy but when you scratch it will hurt and then the peeling starts but by then you shouldn't have any more pain - just skin everywhere! If you have fair skin like me it takes forever. I use Aloe Vera and my skin cools instantly it feels great. Then once the pealing stops and or blistering I use coco butter lotion to replenish and heal the skin. Good luck! Pain and redness depend on the person.
