I got a pretty significant sunburn Saturday, despite applying SPF 30 lotion every 45 minutes and after swimming throughout the day. I put the same lotion on my children and my husband and none of them burned. I had a pretty nice tan before I got the burn, and I don’t want to lose the color I already had to peeling. Also, I have a wedding to go to in the next few weeks and when I peel it tend to last forever. I have been using Aloe w/Lidocaine about four times a day since it happened. Does anyone have any tips to keep it from peeling?

Apply Banana Boat After Sun Aloe Lotion. It works wonderfully for me, especially after long days in the sun.
Well, it is a burn and so it will peel. Moisturizers may help (cocoa butter)
Use any creams.
softly rub some cream on it so it won’t dry up. because dry skin is what causes peeling.
u cant thats how it heals use some alovera on it so it heals faster and wont look so ugly
you don’t , slather some lotion on it but it will peel one way or another.. it’s dead skin, it has to come off. You caused it to burn and since it’s burnt ..well you get the point, next time use sunscreen
The burnt skin is just dead skin cells coming off, I think it’s too late for you to do anything about it now. Next time you have to choose a sunscreen that just right for your skin type.
I suggest that you just put lotion on your lips. TA-DA!
