I got a sunburn the other day and started peeling yesterday, however now the skin underneath is raw and 10x more painful than the original sunburn. Its across my chest and I can’t move my arms inwards or lean forwards or even sleep on my side (Which sucked TERRIBLY last night) without feeling a sharp pain. How long does it take for this to heal?
Its not really blistered, and the burn wasn’t originally that bad – i just think I peeled it too fast and the skin underneath is really raw to where it hurts to touch.
I went to the beach today and got a pretty good sunburn (the worst is on the neck). I’m going to Sea World on Friday and don’t want to go with a sunburn. Is there any way to reduce the redness of a sunburn?
I have a spray that is said to treat burns, cuts scrapes, and itchy insect bites. It says nothing on the label about sunburns. Will it be effective in helping treat a mild sunburn?
I got a pretty significant sunburn Saturday, despite applying SPF 30 lotion every 45 minutes and after swimming throughout the day. I put the same lotion on my children and my husband and none of them burned. I had a pretty nice tan before I got the burn, and I don’t want to lose the color I already had to peeling. Also, I have a wedding to go to in the next few weeks and when I peel it tend to last forever. I have been using Aloe w/Lidocaine about four times a day since it happened. Does anyone have any tips to keep it from peeling?
I just got a mild to moderate sunburn on my face yesterday. I now know that I should have covered my face! But now that it’s after the fact and I can’t change the burn, I am wanting to know if anyone has any tips on reducing the redness from the burn. I know aloe is good, but the big thing of aloe gel that I had in my fridge is mysteriously missing, and I don’t want to have to go out and buy any of the cheap stuff and the good stuff I had is not cheap. I put apple cider vinegar on my face last night and this morning, and I also used some vitamin E, lemon, and some other blended oil on my face (I think that worsened it, but it kept it moist). I’ll stop rambling…any suggestions?
How can I relieve sunburn on my face and reduce its redness? Is there anything I can do to help it heal faster?
I got back from the beach a while ago, and I have a medium-bad sunburn. It’s all over the upper part of my body and my face.
Now, I think I might develop some blisters. What are some remedies to stop this?
I have terrible sunburn all down the back of my legs, so I can’t walk, and can only sit. I’ve used half a bottle of aloe vera since yesterday. I’ve put wet rags under my legs, and I’ve prayed for the pain to stop, but it still hurts. Any cost-free home remedy to make it stop hurting?
