Use aloe vera. It's for burns. You can find the natural product in a health food store. You can also drink it if you want. It's all natural.

There are products you can get from a drug store that can also help. They are pricey. Laroche Posay makes one that will take the sting out in about 24 hours.

There isn't anything that's going to instantly make your redness go away, unfortunately. Your parents are going to be pi**ed

Two old home remedies that remove the sting.

First one makes you smell like a Caesar salad for awhile but takes the sting out immediately is blotting your skin with white distilled vinegar. Afterwards be sure to keep your skin well moisturized.

The second is a little kinder and helps maintain the coloring. Run a bath (not too warm for obvious reasons if you are sore). Steep about 10 Chamomile tea bags in the water with bath oils and soak for a good 20 to 30 minutes.

From personal experience, I use Banana Boat after burn aloe lotion. It seems to work the best. Also if you have pain and you can take aspirin that helps alleviate the pain. If you just starting take a medicine of some sort you may have become sensitive to the sun. I was on birth control pills and even with sunscreen on I ended up with major sun burn.

Use lots of lotion even if it hurts! The reason sunburn hurts so bad is because the skin is tight-- if you lubricate it, it won't hurt, especially if you lotion up BEFORE it starts hurting. That way, you won't wince when reaching for a high shelve and they won't notice.

Don't use make up on it, it won't work.

Make sure you shower the very same night you get the burn, and take a warm or luke-warm shower, not hot. Lotion up after wards. And wear t-shirts as much as possible (wearing a strapless bra works wonders too).

Hope this helps!

Stay out of the sun for a few days. The red will turn into a bronze if you apply tons of moisturizer and don't get your skin to peel. The next time you go out use SUNSCREEN. For Sunburn use Bactine if it's really bad see your Dr. and get a prescription for silvadene cream.
