I have a really bad sunburn and I need to know how to reduce the redness of it so my parents don’t get mad because I wasn’t wearing sunscreen.

I have pale skin, freckles, sensitive skin, and I easily get sunburn. I was outside with my sunglasses on, and a few hours later, my cheek and eyes started to swell up. My mom had shrimp earlier, and I am allergic. My family thought I had an allergic reaction, and they took me to the hospital. They didn’t do much, but I took Benadryl and I still am. My sister mentioned that it may be sunburn, and my eyes are dry, and red, and it feels like sunburn. How long do you think it will last if I’m taking Benadryl?

I got a sunburn the other day and started peeling yesterday, however now the skin underneath is raw and 10x more painful than the original sunburn. So I’ve had no problems with my sunburn since I got it on Sunday, besides that whole burning when moving, or touching, but today at about 2:00 I began to get strong itching feelings on my upper back and shoulders, where the sunburn is. I’ve tried everything from cold compresses to anti-itch spray, te spray has taken the edge off, but hasn’t really helped, any ideas?

I have heard that sunburns do not become skin cancer immediately. How many months or years does it take for a sunburn to become skin cancer?

My friend recently had a sunburn. Her sunburn was not healing and it became worse, so she went to a dermatologist 3 months after the sunburn happened. The dermatologist found that she has skin cancer. Could it be that she had skin cancer all along, and the recent sunburn did not cause her cancer?
